Gaining Stats

Gaining Stats has now changed.

The Stat Cap Gain Method is no longer valid.

With the introduction of Publish 16, gaining stats on production shards is much like gaining stats under the Siege Perilous rule system. What that means is you can only gain 10.0 (ten) stat points a day, 1 (one) every 15 minutes.

There is a rumor that crossing over from facet to facet helps get better gains. What this means is it makes it easier to get that gain within that 15 minute time period when changing from Trammel to Felucca. I have not verified if this works.

The following skills are good stat gaining skills.

Note: Take care of what skill you use when you first log in with your character. It now known that the first skill you use that affects a specific stat, that is the stat will be the one you will most likely gain in first.

The following skills are good stat gaining skills.

Strength:Herding, Animal Taming, Mace Fighting,Mining, Arms Lore Parrying.
Dexterity:Snooping, Hiding, Lockpicking, Fencing.
Intelligence: Evaluate Intelligence, Meditation, Spirit Speak.

Stat Locks have been added to the game. You use them by either single left clicking your character or shift+left clicking. You can also use the locks provided on your status bar (when in numerical mode).
