Here you will find some information about usefull skills, what items you
need to use the skill, and the best ways of Grand Mastering the skill. You can find
information about gaining stats here.
Note: In order to gain points in some skills, you must target
different objects or move around (depending on the skill). You can't stand in
the same spot or target the same object and expect to gain skills or
stats.
There's a few select skills that are not effected by this skill
system, however. Those skills are: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Bowcraft/fletching,
Carpentry, Cooking, Inscription, Tactics, Tailoring, Tinkering and combat skills. All of
those skills are still macroable and there is no need to move around or use
different targets in order to gain skill. Combat skills, however, require you
to be outside of a house in order to gain skill.
From personal experience, eating does help with successfully using a skill. Eat food
frequently when attempting to use skills.
The following skills are not in the skills list: Begging, Camping, Enticement, Herding, Forensic Evaluation,
Item ID, Spirit Speak and Tracking. You do not need any of these skills for any
character.
Note: The only way to gain stats is by gaining skills. That's why "how to gain stats" is put on the Stat Page.
